Can SAP Automation Alone Address Your Automation Needs?

September 10, 2012

Many SAP processes, such as financial month-end-close or retail process orders, require other non-SAP solutions and thus integration. As a result, it’s challenging to obtain a central view and unique control for these integrated solutions. SAP Automation tools alone will not address the dependencies between SAP and non-SAP applications.

Fossil is a great example (see article http://www.baselinemag.com/c/a/IT-Management/Speeding-up-Sales-182298/) of a well thought out process integration between varying platforms and applications. Fossil designed a process to provide centralized process monitoring and control and to easily scale according to varying business peaks, particularly from September to December.

Fossil eliminated latency and human errors in the processes and integrated the managed file transfer process from and to their locations. This is a great example of how organizations can visualize and run your automation processes between SAP and non-SAP applications and develop a smart integration of the file transfer processes as well.

UC4 offers a broad band of operating system and application integrations to cover the Non-SAP areas and integrate them with the leading SAP automation solution from UC4.
