Presales Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own pre-sales technical support and on-going technical account management at prospective customers
• Give product presentations/demonstrations
• Contribute to and refine Technical RFP/RFI responses
• Coordinate, manage and successfully complete product evaluations
• Install, configure, and extend the functionality of UC4 during product evaluation.
• Actively research and discuss competitive information in the marketplace with sales team and prospects
• You must be willing to travel, have strong presentation skills, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive sales and delivery team is critical
• Ability to function independently to achieve desired results

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• UNIX, LINUX and WINDOWS knowledge – MVS, AS/400 or VMS a plus
• Knowledge of Oracle, Universe, SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA, Apache, JDBC
• ERP exposure a strong plus - Oracle e-Business Suite, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards
• Knowledge of and exposure to - 3rd Party Applications such as Oracle Retail, Banner, Informatica, Siebel, Business Objects, etc.
• UC4 or other Job Scheduling experience highly desirable
• 5 years of experience, with a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical curriculum
• Desire and ability to Travel (approximately 50%)
