UC4 Adapter Automates Management and Control of Virtual Machine Workload
VMware integration ensures dynamic control of real and virtual world
Vienna, Austria, October 30, 2008 – UC4 Software, a leading global provider of workload automation, job scheduling and IT process optimization solutions, today announced the availability of a new adapter that allows VMware control tasks, such as PowerOn/Off, Reboot Host and Create Snapshot, to be embedded into IT processes managed by UC4 Workload Automation Suite. This powerful functionality supports organizations needing to automate management, backup, provisioning and monitoring of their virtual machines and hypervisors.

UC4 Workload Automation Suite complements VMware Lifecycle Manager by automating the creation, cloning and deployment of virtual machines, based on time, events and other actions. Dynamic provisioning of commonly used configurations, maintained in VMware Lab Manager, can be automated with UC4. Integration with VMware Stage Manager eases the migration and distribution of new and updated IT services into a production environment.
